While there are things about business plans that are fairly standard, there are also numerous misconceptions about business plans that can often hurt potential entrepreneurs. Knowing what things to avoid and include, especially things thought that should not be included where, in fact, they would benefit from being present, will help get a business and entrepreneur noticed.
One Size Does Not Fit All
A business plan should be considered as something generic. By definition, a business plan can be relatively broad and cover a wide range of aspects. However, just as most businesses vary from one another, so do business plans. It is important to put information that is pertinent to a specific business rather than trying to cram useless data in the body because that is what another business plan called for.
